Congratulations to Autumn Scrimpsher for being named Refugio County Chamber of Commerce’s
Outstanding Student.
Autumn is the daughter of Garth and Destiny Scrimpsher of Woodsboro. Autumn will attend Texas A & M University at Corpus Christi for a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts and then pursue a Masters in Anaplastology (facial prosthetics and reconstruction) at a specialized college in New York. We are very proud of Autumn and her accomplishments and wish her well in her future.
We are very proud of Jessi Gonzalez and Rachel Blaschke for being selected as nominees for the Outstanding Student Award giving by the Chamber of Commerce. Jessi is the daughter of Belinda and Rogelio Gonzalez Jr. of Woodsboro and Rachel is the daughter of Joseph and Teresa Blaschke of Woodsboro. Rachel plans on attending Sam Houston State University after graduation to pursue a career in communication studies. Jessi’s top choice for colleges is Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Jessi will pursue a career in the medical field. We wish these ladies the very best!

The Lady Eagles next softball game will be on Tuesday against Freer at home. The Eagles baseball team will play Refugio in Refugio on Tuesday. The HS Eagles will participate in a track meet on Saturday in Kenedy and the Tennis teams will travel to Tivoli for a tournament today. The Baseball games in Riviera on Saturday, March 4th, have been cancelled.
